Our realistic exercise blocks challenge your team across multiple diverse casualty fields:

• Corrosive Trauma: Managing chemical burns along with acute acid and alkali attacks safely.
• Severe Haemorrhages: Treating catastrophic bleeding within limb, junctional, and torso wounds.
• Physical Trauma: Handling complex crush injuries, deep knife stabbings, and severe penetrations.
• Skeletal Trauma: Stabilising compound fractures, joint dislocations, and suspected spinal injuries cleanly.
• Critical Events: Treating unresponsive casualties requiring immediate CPR and automated defibrillator deployment.
• Mass Incidents: Managing multi-casualty crisis environments using structured field triage principles.

Course Details and Assessment Framework

• Format: Fully face-to-face training with live actors and practical distractions throughout.
• Duration: Provides four contact hours running promptly from 9:00am until 1:30pm.
• Testing Rules: Instructors verify your competence through continuous practical observations and scenario assessments.
• Certification: Successful participants receive a Chris Garland Training certificate via digital PDF.

Prerequisites and Safety Candidate Caps

Candidates must be aged 18 or over to participate in this track. Specifically, you must hold a valid, in-date first aid qualification to register. For example, standard EFAW or advanced FAW certificates satisfy our entry rules. Furthermore, Forestry Commission first aid or Paediatric certificates are completely acceptable.

You must be physically capable of performing floor-level treatments to pass. Open public sessions require a minimum of six candidates to run successfully. Meanwhile, we limit maximum capacities strictly to twelve delegates per qualified instructor. This framework helps you to receive high-quality individual coaching throughout the day.
