Ladder Safety Training

Ladder Safety Training

Our increasing range of ladder safety courses and free products warrant their own section.

Sadly, falls are amongst the leading causes of accidental death in the workplace. Falling from one level to another is responsible for a high proportion of these accidents.

The HSE state that to use a ladder, you must be competent. While you’re being trained, you should be working under the supervision of a competent person. Competence can be demonstrated through a combination of training, practical and theoretical knowledge, and experience. Any training that you receive must be appropriate, and must include:

  • Knowing how to assess the risks of using a ladder for a particular task.
  • Determining when it is right to use a ladder (and when it is not).
  • Selecting which type of ladder to use and how to use it.

Our courses are aimed at those who use ladders regularly as part of their job, or those who are occasional users of a ladder.

In this section you’ll find details of our ladder and step ladder courses, as well as links to download our free ladder inspection sheets.
