Practical outdoor first aid training session showing forestry workers treating a casualty in a woodland environment.

Outdoor & Forestry First Aid Courses

At A Glance: The BS 8599-1:2026 first aid standard requires organisations to base safety provisions on a realistic risk assessment rather than a basic headcount. Furthermore, modern UK emergency response times are increasing significantly, meaning an ambulance is rarely minutes away. Therefore, our specialised training ensures self-reliance and prolonged care in remote settings.

Navigating Remote Medical Emergencies

Emergency delays multiply significantly within remote, rural, or outdoor workplace environments. To mitigate these risks, we provide direct, practical training designed for structured scene management in the British countryside. As a result, your designated responders gain the confidence to handle unexpected wilderness trauma effectively.

Specifically, our tailored training framework targets distinct operational requirements:

  • Targeted Workplace Roles: Our modules actively support forestry workers and tree surgeons (satisfying EFAW+F requirements), agricultural teams, ecologists, outdoor instructors, walking leaders, and remote enthusiasts.
  • Core Practical Competencies: Candidates master extended casualty monitoring, environmental exposure protection, remote scene management, and advanced trauma care (including critical injury packs and catastrophic bleed control).
  • Written Risk Compliance: For teams of five or more occupants, your first aid needs assessment must be documented in writing. Our training directly helps you justify and meet these specific legislative requirements.
  • Our Ethical Training Standards: As an ethical training provider, our courses incorporate sustainable practices. Furthermore, seasoned outdoor professionals with genuine field experience deliver all sessions.

Please note: We do not provide Driver CPC training. Our EFAW+F courses do not contribute towards a Forest Haulage Safety Certificate of Professional Competence.
