Outdoor & Forestry First Aid Courses

A four-panel photographic banner displaying various wilderness and outdoor first aid training scenarios. From left to right: an instructor demonstrating CPR on a mannequin by a rocky riverbed; a group conducting a mock casualty assessment in a dense pine forest; participants evacuating an injured person in a stretcher down a steep mountain path; and a medical monitoring scenario on a snowy mountain summit above the clouds. Green first aid kits are visible across the scenes.

Outdoor & Forestry First Aid Courses

The BS 8599-1:2026 first aid standard requires organisations to base their safety provisions on a realistic risk assessment rather than a basic headcount. With modern emergency response times increasing significantly across the UK, an ambulance is rarely minutes away. This problem is multiplied in remote, rural, or outdoor environments.

We provide direct, practical training designed to ensure self-reliance, prolonged casualty care, and structured scene management in the British countryside.

  • Targeted Roles: Forestry workers and tree surgeons (satisfying EFAW+F requirements), agricultural teams, ecologists, outdoor instructors, walking leaders, and remote enthusiasts.
  • Core Competencies: Extended casualty monitoring, environmental exposure protection, remote scene management, and advanced trauma care (including critical injury packs and catastrophic bleed control).
  • Compliance Standards: For teams of five or more, your first aid needs assessment must be documented in writing. Our courses help you justify and meet these specific legislative requirements.
  • The Ethical Standard: As an ethical training provider, our courses incorporate sustainable practices. Training is delivered by seasoned outdoor professionals with genuine field experience.

Please note: We do not provide Driver CPC training. Our EFAW+F courses do not contribute towards a Forest Haulage Safety Certificate of Professional Competence.
