First Aid for Parents | E-Learning
Two hours is all it takes to know what to do when it matters most.
Accidents involving babies and young children are among the most frightening moments a parent can face. Choking, seizures, a child who stops breathing, a serious fall: in every one of these situations, what a parent does in the first minute or two shapes what happens next. Knowing what to do, having practised it mentally, and feeling confident enough to act rather than freeze, comes from preparation.
This 2-hour online course is designed specifically for parents and grandparents who want to be better prepared for first aid situations involving young children. It focuses on the scenarios most likely to arise in a domestic setting, covering the specific techniques for babies and children rather than repeating adult first aid content that is less directly relevant.
For those who want to go further, our Family First Aid course covers a broader range of incidents across all age groups, and our face-to-face Paediatric First Aid course provides hands-on practical skills with manikins.
