Classroom Schedules and Punctuality

We structure this half-day course to remain fast-paced and highly practical. We host distinct morning and afternoon cohorts to match your availability. Morning sessions run from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Alternatively, afternoon slots run from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. We integrate a short comfort break to keep candidates focused.

Awarding bodies enforce strict contact-time criteria for these qualifications. Therefore, punctuality is absolutely mandatory for all registered students. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will be turned away immediately. Consequently, late candidates forfeit their placement and all paid booking fees.

Testing and Certification Options

We verify candidate competence through two distinct classroom assessment components. First, you will complete a short multiple-choice theory exam paper. Candidates require a minimum score of 70% to pass. Second, you must achieve a perfect 100% score during continuous practical observation drills on the floor.

We provide two distinct certification pathways for this qualification. You can select our default Chris Garland Training digital PDF certificate pathway. Alternatively, choose the Ofqual-regulated option for an additional processing fee. This path delivers a formal paper certificate alongside a credit-card-sized plastic verification card. Both validations remain active for exactly one year.

Prerequisites and Age Limits

Candidates must be physically capable of demonstrating floor-level procedures on training manikins. Specifically, kneeling to perform continuous chest compressions is mandatory to pass. All assessments are conducted strictly in English. Therefore, we recommend a baseline level 2 literacy standard for all delegates.

This qualification suits anyone aged 14 or older. Candidates aged 14 to 16 receive valid certificates upon passing. However, corporate employers must not rely on them as sole nominated workplace first aiders. We maintain strict group caps of 12 learners per instructor to ensure dedicated tutor feedback loops.
