Maintaining your emergency equipment correctly is critical for public safety. Review our practical advice on How to look after a defibrillator to keep units functional.
Course Prerequisites & Physical Demands
This introductory safety session features an open framework with very few entry barriers. However, you must meet basic physical standards. Candidates must be capable of providing chest compressions to a casualty on the floor. Meeting this active requirement is necessary to pass the practical checks.
Additionally, you need a conversational level of spoken English. Alternatively, you can bring a personal translator to assist you. Please note that translators act as full students. Therefore, they must buy a regular seat on the course to attend.
Classroom Schedule & Cohort Rules
This face-to-face course delivers two hours of guided learning. We balance short interactive talks with intense hands-on practice. Tutors evaluate your handling skills throughout the session to confirm your safety technique. Upon passing, you receive a digital PDF certificate via Chris Garland Training valid for one year.
We limit public cohorts tightly to ensure everyone receives proper feedback. Open sessions require a minimum of four candidates to run. We allow a maximum of sixteen candidates per tutor. If you have a larger team, consider a custom option instead.
