• Defect Identification: Recognising degradation, heavy wear, metallic corrosion, and chemical contamination accurately.
• Incident Triggers: Identifying exceptional circumstances that necessitate immediate out-of-schedule equipment reviews.
• Report Generation: Completing formal inspection logs, recording defects, and meeting mandatory data retention timelines.
• Quarantine Decisions: Determining exactly when to remove defective climbing hardware from active workplace service.

Course Details and Assessment Framework

We deliver this curriculum through interactive face-to-face practical engagement. Specifically, you will inspect a wide variety of commercial ladders and steps ranging from small steps to extended vertical units.

• Duration: The course delivers four guided learning hours in a single session.
• Daily Schedule: Scheduled courses typically run from 9:00am until 1:00pm at our centre.
• Group Parameters: We require four candidates, capping strictly at twelve delegates per instructor.
• Testing Rules: Instructors verify your competence through continuous practical inspection assessments.
• Certification: Successful graduates receive an official Chris Garland Training certificate via digital PDF.

Prerequisites and Safety Candidate Caps

Candidates must be at least 18 years old to undertake this safety qualification. Meanwhile, we recommend a baseline background of GCSE Grade C literacy or equivalent. We conduct all technical instructions and reporting exercises strictly in English. Therefore, delegates require a clear understanding of the language to complete the coursework.

However, private corporate bookings have no minimum candidate thresholds. Health and safety regulations limit capacities to a maximum of twelve delegates per instructor.
