Ladder and Step Ladder Use and Inspection Training
If your job role includes, or may include the use of ladders or step ladders, ladder user safety training is a legal requirement. This means that your employer has a legal duty to ensure that you’re suitably trained to use those steps or ladders.
In our opinion, undertaking an online ladder safety training course frankly isn’t sufficient. What you need is hands-on practice and face-to-face guidance, to be able to use steps and ladders safely.
Additionally, there is a legal requirement for any ladder, step ladder, step stool, platform ladder, work platform, etc that you buy, hire, sell or simply use, to have regular safety inspections. These must be done annually as an absolute minimum, but preferably every 6 months or 3 months, depending on frequency of usage.
Our combined ladder and step ladder use and inspection course will teach you how to perform pre-use inspection checks, formal inspections & report writing, how to safely use, store and stow ladders & step ladders.
