Evacuation Sledge Train the Trainer
The most comprehensive evacuation sledge Train the Trainer programme available in the UK.
Evacuation sledges, ski-sheets and evacuation mats are essential equipment in multi-storey buildings, care homes, hospitals, and any premises where evacuation chair use is impractical and where individuals using beds or specialist mattresses need to be evacuated during an emergency.
Where this equipment is installed, operator training is a legal requirement under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). Where an organisation is large enough to need repeated internal training across multiple sites, shifts or staff cohorts, building an in-house trainer capability is both operationally sensible and cost-effective.
Our Evacuation Sledge Train the Trainer course equips your internal trainer to deliver the full operator training programme to your colleagues, using six different sledge and ski-sheet types. This includes specialist models designed for use with AirFlow mattresses, the specialist pressure-relief mattresses commonly used in hospital wards and residential care settings, which require different handling and evacuation technique from standard models.
No other provider in the UK offers this breadth of equipment coverage in a single Train the Trainer programme.
