First Aid – For the outdoors

We offer a range of first aid courses, but this section focuses on course suitable for those working in, or just enjoying the great outdoors.

When it comes to selecting the best first aid course for your needs, you need to think about several factors. For example, how far will you be from professional help (30 minutes to 2 hours)? Who are you going to be caring for (their ages)? What injuries are they likely to have (cuts & scrapes, or something more serious).

As a rule of thumb, if you’re more than 30 minutes away from professional help, you should consider an outdoor first aid course rather than a typical workplace first aid course. Outdoor courses train you to care for people for up to 2 hours.

Typical attendees include bikers, rural workers, ecologists, tree surgeons, deer stalkers, walking leaders and many more.

Details of all our courses can be found below.

Forest Haulage Safety for Professional Driver CPC: Chris Garland Training do not offer Driver CPC training. As such attending our EFAW+F course would not count towards your Forest Haulage Safety for Professional Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
