Mental Health Awareness Course | QNUK Level 1 Award
Mental health challenges remain one of the least discussed topics across standard modern workplaces. Specifically, employees often lack the definitive language needed to address personal concerns. This Ofqual-regulated half-day qualification transforms team interactions completely. It introduces evidence-based concepts developed alongside leading healthcare charities.
The course functions as an ideal starting point for any progressive company. Furthermore, the qualification tracks closely with official NHS guidance parameters. Delegates explore essential definitions to manage their personal wellness sustainably. Therefore, individuals learn to protect themselves while supporting their corporate peers.
What You Will Learn
Our targeted syllabus covers one mandatory unit containing four distinct learning outcomes. Specifically, the course covers these core components:
- Understanding Mental Health: Reviewing the official World Health Organisation definition alongside standard wellbeing models.
- Differentiating Health: Distinguishing clearly between baseline mental health and acute mental ill-health states.
- Risk Factors: Evaluating personal, social, economic, and environmental influences on mental stability.
- Condition Recognition: Identifying common workplace conditions including depression, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and PTSD.
- Support Pathways: Locating reliable external care networks such as local GPs, MIND, and the Samaritans.
- Stigma Reduction: Challenging negative workplace assumptions through open conversation models and inclusive language.
- Wellbeing Strategies: Applying evidence-based personal care plans focusing on sleep, exercise, and mindfulness.
