Fire Warden Training Course | Full Day | QNUK | Knutsford & Nationwide
The course for those who carry the responsibility when the alarm sounds.
Fire Wardens and Fire Marshals are the named individuals responsible for ensuring a safe, complete evacuation whenever a fire alarm is activated. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Responsible Person must ensure that their designated wardens are properly trained — not just generally fire-aware, but genuinely competent to manage people, equipment, and communication under pressure.
Competence is the operative word. A half-day course cannot produce a competent fire warden. Ours takes a full day, and the difference is meaningful: delegates who complete this course understand not just what to do in a fire, but why — and that understanding is what holds up when it actually matters.
This course is delivered by Fire Protection Association (FPA) members and includes the Firexo range of extinguishers alongside traditional CO2 and water types. If your wardens have been trained by a provider that doesn’t include Firexo, their knowledge has a gap.
Annual refresher training is strongly recommended. Wardens should renew their full qualification every three years. View refresher options →
