Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People: E-learning
The knowledge to recognise harm. The framework to act on it.
Anyone who works with, cares for, or regularly comes into contact with children and young people carries a duty of care to safeguard them. This is not a moral aspiration. It is a legal obligation, grounded in the Children Act 1989, the Children Act 2004, and statutory guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children (DfE, 2023) and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE, 2024).
Safeguarding failures rarely happen because people do not care. They happen because people do not know what to look for, do not feel confident in their responsibilities, or are uncertain about the correct process when they suspect something is wrong. This course addresses all three.
The Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children and Young People gives practitioners a secure, structured understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities, from recognising the indicators of abuse and neglect to navigating the reporting process with the child’s welfare at the centre.
