Basic Life Support Instructor Refresher Course
If you’ve undertaken a Basic Life Support Instructor course (also known as the “Basic Life Support Train-The-Trainer” course), you really need to undertake a refresher course to maintain your skills and knowledge as things change all the time.
Our Basic Life Support Instructor Refresher Course is ideal for those looking to refresh their knowledge on delivering Basic Life Support and AED training. Covering both adult and paediatric BLS, you will learn the key changes and updates to the core course content. You’ll also undertake a mini-teach and assessment session as part of the course to ensure that you remain on top of your game.
In the morning of the 1-day course, you will undertake the 3-hour basic life support course as though you were a student. The afternoon session then delves into significantly more medical detail, enabling you to teach these skills and answer those tricky questions from candidates. Further details of the full course syllabus can be found below.
Many people undertake this course for their own personal achievement, while others use the qualification to support their role within a workplace. Examples of these are clinical and non-clinical staff working in a GP or Physiotherapy practice who complete the course as part of their annual CPD (continual professional development).
Course syllabus includes:
- Anatomy and physiology
- Basic Life Support (Adult and Child);
