If you live or work in England, you may be able to apply for grant funding to cover the full cost of short, practical training courses from the Forestry Commission.
The funding is for people considering a change of career, or seeking to build and diversify their skills in forestry and arboriculture skills and who want to undertake a forestry-related or arboriculture-related training course.
Please refer to the Forestry Commission website page for the full list of which courses are available through the fund as this list is regularly updated: https://www.forestryandarbtrainingfund.co.uk/
March 2025: We have been advised by the fund managers that there won’t be any further funding of these courses in financial year 2025-2026.
If this changes, we’ll post an update here.
The Training Fund courses that we offer through the grant fund can be found below.
Below you'll find details of our suite of +F first aid courses. Simply click on the course title to visit the specific course information and booking page. Online/Classroom: Some of our courses have online pre-leaning to undertake before the classroom session. When there is a combination of Online and Classroom hours, the online learning must be completed before the classroom session (i.e. pre-learning). Classroom hours include for lunch & coffee breaks.
