This course is ideal for those working on Forestry Commission property, such as forest workers, tree surgeons, hauliers, rangers, ecologists and those undertaking site visits in remote areas.
Our '+F' course covers the specific additional* elements required by the Forestry Commission in their first aid policy, with regards to "Core operations" of "harvesting, civil engineering, mechanised ground preparation, planting, fencing, pesticides application, forest nursery activities, or similar."
*This course can be added to any of our open Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work courses, or run as a separate course if you have a valid Emergency First Aid/ First Aid at Work certificate.
Upon successful completion, learners receive a certificate from Chris Garland Training confirming that they have completed a '+F' bolt-on course, in compliance with the Forestry Commission First Aid Policy & details the subjects covered on the course.
Course syllabus includes:
Certificate: Valid for 3 years.
Course duration: 2.5 hours (either as a standalone course for those with a valid first aid certificate, or as a bolt-on course alongside an Emergency First Aid/ First Aid at Work course) Test: Practical assessment.
